Most TCP, Inc. tutors are certified Texas educators.  The majority have earned post-graduate degrees from prestigious universities across the nation, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).  With experience in both the classroom and business industries, the TCP, Inc. team provides students with real-world knowledge application.

As a former classroom teacher, Bobbie brings experience from both the education sector as well as the corporate IT industry. Bobbie earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Computer Science & Math from Northwest Missouri State University. Bobbie is a Certified Texas Educator in Math 4-12 and Business 8-12. She specializes in tutoring students in the subjects of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, & Calculus. Bobbie’s expertise is in test preparation for the PSAT, ACT and SAT.

Dan graduated as his high school’s valedictorian from The Oakridge School in 2000. He continued his education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Earning a 4.0 GPA, he completed two degrees at MIT – a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science as well as Finance, with a minor in Economics. Upon graduating, Dan went to work on Wall Street for two years and then transferred to the technology industry as a software developer. He serves as a part-time tutor for TCP students in the areas of Physics and Calculus.

As a certified Texas teacher, Stan has had the opportunity instructing Eagle Mountain high school students in all three areas of his science generalist accreditation: physics, chemistry and biology. Mr. Yoder displays his passion for science and his love of learning by creating an atmosphere of engagement and fun throughout the entire tutoring session. His primary interest in music education evolved into a world of science during his 19-year stint as a professional educator.

Aaron has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Commercial Advertising from the University of Oklahoma. He is a former NBA basketball player, originally drafted by the New Jersey Nets in 1980. Aaron specializes in coaching students in the areas of basketball and physical fitness and also assists TCP, Inc. with marketing and networking services.
Kristy Smith, Tutor

Kristy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2004, and her Master of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2009 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Earning a 4.0 in both her undergraduate and graduate studies, she also has over 19 years experience in the criminal justice field. Currently, Kristy is teaching at the university level. At TCP, she specializes in tutoring secondary students in preparation for the ACT test.

Elaine is a Texas-certified teacher in Physics, grades 6-12. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Physics and her Master of Science in Secondary Education from the University of North Texas. Elaine has extensive experience teaching children ranging in age from elementary to high school in the areas of math and science. She specializes in tutoring Physics to the students of TCP, Inc.

Lauren is the TCP Branding Consultant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Abilene Christian University. She has marketing and public relations experience in the corporate industry as well as the public school sector. She has worked for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s Public Affairs Office and Carroll Independent School District’s Communications & Marketing Department. In addition to her work with TCP, Lauren performs freelance work in the area of marketing, public relations and videography.

Nelda is TCP’s administrative assistant. She is a graduate of Collin College in Plano where she earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree as well as a Medical Administrative Assistant Certification. Nelda’s work experience in the corporate industry includes graphic design and home healthcare. She’s also served as an executive administrative assistant for two Texas-based oil companies. Nelda specializes in expert customer service for TCP, Inc. Her duties include appointment scheduling, staff member support, and other administrative tasks.

Max earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education/Health with a Minor in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a Texas Certified Educator in the areas of Physical Education, Health, Biology and Life/Earth Middle School Science. Max has 30 years of experience as an educator in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw school district. He specializes in tutoring secondary students in Biology, Life Science and Health.

Rafael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics as well as a minor in Spanish. He is a Certified Texas Educator in Math 4-8 and Spanish 6-12. Rafael tutors students from elementary through high school in General Math, Algebra and Spanish. His expertise is in PSAT, ACT and SAT test preparation.

Shawn earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of Arts in Public Policy from Regent University. Shawn has experience in tutoring elementary, middle and high school students and has also taught English in South Korea. He specializes in tutoring secondary students in English Language Arts for preparation of the ACT and SAT college entrance exams.

Tatyana serves the students of TCP, Inc. as a piano teacher. She graduated from the Sumy State Pedagogical University in Sumy Ukraine, where she earned a five-year Specialists degree in Music and Art. Tatyana later earned her Master’s degree. She has experience teaching music and art to students from around the world. Over the years, Tatyana has had the privilege of teaching many award winning piano students.
Claudia Bolanos,Tutor
Claudia is Timarron College Prep’s Spanish language tutor. She was born and raised in Guatemala City where she studied there, and abroad, to become trilingual in Spanish, English and German. She immigrated to Texas in 2001 as a missionary with her husband and four children. Claudia began tutoring students in the DFW Metroplex in 2003. As a native Spanish speaker, she is certified in the areas of written and spoken Spanish. Claudia seeks to identify each student’s learning style in order to achieve more effective results toward Spanish language fluency.
 
Sid Parsons, Tutor 
Sid tutors Timarron College Prep students in the areas of chemistry, calculus and physics. His career experience includes work in the field of astronomy at Hubble Space Telescope Operations. Sid has taught college-level astronomy and physics, as well as geometry, algebra, trigonometry and calculus - with particular expertise in chemistry. His passion is teaching in a one-on-one environment where each student's level of understanding can be assessed, so that confidence and problem-solving abilities prosper. 

Nathan Barker, Tutor
Nathan tutors Timarron College Prep's middle school and high school students in the areas of (History/Social Studies) as well as ACT test prep.  He is a 2012 graduate of Texas Wesleyan University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in History and teaching certifications in History (8-12) and Social Studies (8-12).  He performed his student teaching at Trinity Springs Middle School and Timber Creek High School in Keller ISD.  In addition to tutoring, Nathan also substitute teaches in KISD and SCISD. 

Dr. Scharri Walker, Tutor 
Dr. Walker earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology/Toxicology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Tougaloo College.  Her specialized experience includes many years of corporate research, consulting and scientific writing.  In addition to her work with Timarron College Prep, Dr. Walker serves as an Adjunct Chemistry Professor at North Central Texas College.  She is a stand-out in her field and is passionate about teaching students in the areas of chemistry, biology and mathematics - along with study skills and college entrance exam preparation.
 
Kelsey Heine, Tutor 
Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas.  She is a Texas certified teacher (Early Childhood - sixth grade) as well as ESL (English as a Second Language) certified.  She currently teaches kindergarten in Grand Prairie ISD.  Kelsey serves Timarron College Prep as a tutor in the areas of English Language Arts and math - along with offering test prep help for the math portions of the ACT and SAT, critical reading, English grammar and speed reading.  She has nine years of experience working with children ranging in age from elementary to high school. 

Lucy Liu, Tutor                                                                      
Lucy (Qian) Liu was born and raised in the Xingiang province in northwest China.  She immigrated to Canada in 1999 where she learned the English language and became a Canadian citizen.  In 2010, she relocated to Fort Worth where she is currently employed as an accounting bookkeeper. Lucy is well versed in the Chinese Mandarin language, both written and spoken, and tutors all levels of Mandarin Chinese for Timarron College Prep.
