Sky's The Limit For Westlake Academy Senior
Senior Jennie Bruggemann is one of an elite group of 60 students to receive a United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Falcon Foundation Scholarship. The Academy offers candidates scholarships into one of seven preparatory schools across the nation. Once Jennie has successfully completed a year at prep school, she will have the opportunity to be considered for the next USAFA class. This fall, Jennie will attend Northwestern Preparatory School in Crestline, California. She's currently interested in the medical field and plans on pursuing a Biochemistry degree once enrolled in the Academy.
Jennie is a student at Westlake Academy where she's actively involved in a variety of community and volunteer organizations. She's a member of the National Honor Society and a standout varsity soccer, cross country and basketball athlete. Jennie resides in Keller and is the daughter of Kelly and Ty Bruggemann.
Jennie's mom credits Timarron College Prep for giving her daughter a competitive edge in the USAFA selection process. "I truly recommend to any students preparing for the Academies admission process to start getting very serious about tutoring the summer prior to their junior year," said Mrs. Bruggemann. "The Academies will take scores throughout the admissions process and update your application which means you can keep continuing to take the ACT and SAT."
